Dr Nick Garnett
Principal Lecturer in Psychology - Nottingham Trent University - lead statistician for the TaST 5-7 evaluation workstream
I am a Principal Lecturer in Psychology at Nottingham Trent University. My work focusses on intervention science, self-limiting behaviours in education, and the influence of policy on pupil outcomes. My work is applied and rooted in communities, adopting a co-production approach to research and to date has worked alongside a variety of organisations including local authorities, the NHS, voluntary sector organisations, and educational settings from nurseries to universities. This work has involved interventions to support reading, professional transitions of practitioner psychologists, emotional wellbeing support systems, and parental support programmes. I support several elements of the P-S WELLS project, but my main focus is the evaluation of the Talking about School Transition programme. More about my work can be found here.
