Children from your school took part in Be Here, Be You, Belong, an intervention designed to support children as they move from primary to secondary school. It helps children understand their emotions, focus on what they can control and manage everyday challenges. The intervention encourages children to be themselves, to feel accepted and to develop a sense of belonging at a time when change can make them anxious. It also supports a shared way of talking about emotions across Years 6 and 7 and helps schools work together to provide continuity during the transition. We want to know how well this worked, who benefitted the most and why? That’s why we would like your pupils to take part in the following study.

P-S WELLS will help researchers and practitioners to identify:

a) Which aspects of primary-secondary school transitions pupils are excited about, as well as concerned about

b) Who might be particularly vulnerable during primary-secondary school transitions

c) What universal and targeted support to focus on

Your school will receive detailed support about your pupils’ wellbeing and adjustment over primary-secondary school transitions.
